Strips

Whitening Strips can be had in different strengths so you can the strength that's best for you. Using dissolving strips can be quick and easy while you're running around; but for a more powerful and intense whitening you can use long term ones such as overnight strips that keep working on your teeth over a sustained period of time. These typically use mild lighteners that are safe to use frequently and shouldn't irritate your gums.

Brush Ons

These are popular due to their easy of use, the fact that they can be used daily and the mildness of the active chemicals. You can walk off to work in the morning with it brushed on your teeth, and no one will know that its working away to mildly bleach your enamel. Follow the instruction diligently...typically you shouldn't eat or drink for a while after applying it.

Kits

The last method used in teeth whitening products that we'll look at is Kits. They typically contain more than one lightening method to give you the strongest affect that you can achieve at home. And of course the cost difference between a kit and professional treatment by a cosmetic dentist is enormous!

The kits generally use harsher chemicals but they are still safe. You should try and not get the active agent on your gums however; as people with sensitive gums may get minor irritation. Just follow the directions. If you're want the best teeth whitening you can do at home - chose from one of the most popular kits. Two good ones are linked earlier in the article.

For extreme cases a visit to a cosmetic surgeon may be in order. To find a good one, either ask friends or family, or your dentist. All dentists should be able to refer you if needed. But hopefully you will be able to be take care of it at home and for a fraction of the cost!

Hopefully one of the above treatments will help you achieve the whitest teeth possible and not be hard on your wallet. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile.
